FAQs
How does a teleconference work?
Three to five days before each lecture, a teleconference packet will be emailed or mailed to your site coordinator containing the lecture slides, sign-in sheet, evaluation form, and dial-in instructions. U.S. participants will receive a toll-free telephone number. International participants may incur additional telephone charges. On the day of the lecture and at the scheduled time, your site will call the telephone number provided in your lecture packet. Once all conference sites have dialed in, participants will follow the slide show with the lecturer. You will have an opportunity to participate in a question and answer discussion session at both the mid point and at the completion of the lecture.
When do we register?
Our teleconference series is open for registration any time throughout the year.
How do we register?
Complete the teleconference registration form. Email the form to andre.thalberg@georgetown.edu.
Do we get continuing education credits (CEC) for participating in this program?
Yes, the lecture series is an ACHI approved continuing education program. Equal ACHI CE credit (1.5 contact hours and 0.225 CEC per teleconference) is available for organized group participation using audio conference lectures and slides. Participants can also earn equal ACHI CE credits for listening to recorded lectures from previous years (1999-2023), which can be ordered through the CTHT website at https://ctht.georgetown.edu.
When can we expect to receive the teleconference materials – instructions, slides, handouts – for the live teleconference for which we have registered?
You can expect to receive the package 2-3 business days before the conference.
When can we expect to receive the audio recordings and slides for the recorded lecture which we have registered?
You can expect to receive the slides and/or audio recording 15 business days after the live teleconference occurred.
Can we retrospectively order an audio recording of a teleconference that we have participated in previously?
Yes, you can order an audio recording of any teleconference you have participated.
What should we do with the sign-in sheet?
Participants should print clearly their first and last names and put their signatures indicating their participation in the conference. The site coordinator must sign the form and send it to us. The completed sign-in sheet is required in order for participants to receive CE credits.
Do we get equal CEC for participation in a recorded session after the live teleconference?
Yes, you get equal continuing education credits for live or recorded participation.
How do we get CEC if we participate in an audio recorded session?
We send the blank certificate to your site coordinator who fills out it for you after participation.
When do we get the CEC certificates?
Participants usually receive their certificates 3-4 weeks after the last conference of the series. In order to issue the certificate we require a completed sign-in sheet for each conference.
What should we do with the evaluation form?
Your opinion about every lecture is valuable to us and the speakers. Please complete the form and ask your site coordinator to send it back.
